We’re excited to announce the recipients of the Puneet Sahalot Memorial Scholarship for WordCamp Rajasthan 2026.
When we announced the scholarship, we shared that we planned to support five emerging members of the WordPress community and help them attend WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 in Jaipur.
After carefully reviewing the applications we received, we found that four applications met the criteria and aligned with the purpose of the scholarship. We initially selected all four applicants.
However, one of the selected recipients later had to withdraw due to a personal situation. We completely respect their decision and wish them the very best.
This means that for WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, we have three confirmed scholarship recipients joining us in Jaipur.
We’re happy to introduce them.
Aachal Pardeshi
Aachal Pardeshi is a freelance web designer and developer based in Pune. She enjoys attending WordPress-related events, meeting people from the community, learning from others, and sharing what she learns along the way.
Aachal is still exploring WordPress and is looking forward to contributing more to the community.
Her interest in attending WordPress events, learning from others, and becoming more involved in the community made her a strong fit for the scholarship.
We hope that attending WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 will give her an opportunity to meet more people from the WordPress community, exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives, and take the next steps in her contribution journey.
We’re excited to have Aachal join us in Jaipur and look forward to seeing how her WordPress journey develops.
Komal Devnani
Komal is a student and has previously attended several WordPress events, giving her opportunities to learn, meet other community members, and experience the collaborative spirit that makes WordPress special.
We selected Komal because we believe attending a state-level WordCamp like WordCamp Rajasthan can give her another valuable opportunity to explore the WordPress ecosystem, connect with a wider community, and learn from people with different experiences.
As a student, she can also use these experiences to discover new areas of WordPress and build connections that support her learning and future journey.
We’re looking forward to welcoming Komal to Jaipur and seeing what she takes away from her WordCamp Rajasthan experience.
Sampada Khot
Sampada is also a student who has been actively participating in WordPress events.
Her involvement in previous WordPress events shows her interest in learning more about the ecosystem and connecting with the community.
We felt that attending WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 would give her the opportunity to experience a larger state-level WordCamp and interact with an even broader group of WordPress contributors, developers, designers, creators, and enthusiasts.
For students exploring WordPress, attending community events can open doors to new ideas, learning opportunities, mentorship, and connections.
We hope WordCamp Rajasthan will be another meaningful step in Sampada’s WordPress journey and help her discover new possibilities for the future.
Why We Selected Them
The Puneet Sahalot Memorial Scholarship was created for people who are new to the WordPress community and actively getting involved and contributing in their own way.
When reviewing the applications, we focused on the scholarship’s purpose rather than simply looking for those with the longest list of contributions or years of experience.
We wanted to support people who are exploring WordPress, participating in community activities, attending events, learning from others, and showing an interest in becoming more involved.
Komal and Sampada stood out as students who have already attended multiple WordPress events. We believe giving them the opportunity to attend a state-level WordCamp can help them explore WordPress further, connect with a wider community, and gain experiences that may be valuable in their future.
Aachal’s interest in WordPress events and her desire to continue learning and contributing also made her a strong fit. As someone still exploring the WordPress ecosystem, we hope WordCamp Rajasthan will help her build new connections and find more opportunities to contribute.
While we initially hoped to support five people, the applications we received did not give us enough eligible candidates to fill all five spots. Rather than selecting applicants who did not closely align with the scholarship’s purpose, we chose only those who met the criteria.
We believe this was the right approach for keeping the scholarship true to its purpose and Puneet’s spirit of supporting people in meaningful ways.
A New Chapter in Their WordPress Journey
For each recipient, we hope this scholarship is more than just support for attending an event.
A WordCamp can be a place to meet people you’ve never met before, learn something new, discover different ways to contribute, and find a community where you feel at home.
That is especially meaningful for people who are still at the beginning of their journey.
By supporting these three community members, we hope to make it easier for them to experience WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, connect with the wider WordPress community, and continue exploring where their own WordPress journey can take them.
And this is exactly the spirit behind the Puneet Sahalot Memorial Scholarship.
Puneet believed in people and in giving others opportunities to learn, grow, and become part of the community. Through this scholarship, we hope to carry a small part of that spirit forward.

Along with the scholarship program, we’re offering special student tickets for those interested in learning more about WordPress and becoming part of the WordPress community.
We want to make WordCamp Rajasthan more accessible to students and give them an opportunity to learn from industry professionals, explore different areas of WordPress, connect with fellow community members, and experience WordCamp firsthand.
