How to Plan Your Jaipur Trip Around WordCamp Rajasthan 2026

Coming to Jaipur for WordCamp Rajasthan 2026? Don’t just come for the event. Make a trip out of it.

If you’re traveling to Jaipur for WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, arriving a couple of days early gives you plenty of time to experience the city before the WordPress weekend begins.

October 3 is Contributor Day, and October 4 is the Main Event.

So, if you arrive on Thursday, October 1, you can spend Thursday and Friday exploring Jaipur, keep Saturday and Sunday for WordCamp, and still have Monday as an optional extra day if your travel plans allow.

Think of it as:

Two days of Jaipur. Two days of WordPress. One great trip.

Here’s how you can plan it.

Plan Your Jaipur Trip Around WordCamp Rajasthan 2026

First Things First: Get Your WordCamp Ticket

Before you plan your Jaipur itinerary, get your WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 ticket sorted.
WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 takes place on October 3 and 4 at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur.

October 3 is Contributor Day, where you can get involved with the WordPress project, learn how contributing works, and meet other contributors.

October 4 is the Main Event, with sessions, speakers, conversations, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the WordPress community.

Once your ticket is sorted, you can start planning the rest of your Jaipur trip.

If you’re traveling from outside Jaipur, we’d recommend booking your travel and accommodation in advance. You’ll be visiting during a busy weekend, and many other WordCamp attendees will be traveling into the city too.

Thursday, October 1: Arrive, Settle In and Ease Into Jaipur

If you’re arriving on Thursday, don’t try to pack too much into your first day. Check into your hotel, freshen up, and give yourself some time to settle in.

Then head out for an easy evening in Jaipur.

You could take a relaxed walk around the Pink City, stop for chai and snacks, explore a nearby market, or simply find a good place for dinner.

This is also a great evening to try your first few Jaipur favorites.

Start with a pyaaz kachori, try a mirchi bada, and save some room for ghewar or kulfi. For more food ideas, check out our guide to Jaipur Food Trail: 7 Local Places Worth Trying.

Don’t worry about sightseeing today. You’ve got a full day tomorrow.

Friday, October 2: Spend the Day Exploring Jaipur

Friday is your main day for Jaipur sightseeing. Since WordCamp doesn’t start until Saturday, you can spend the day exploring some of the city’s best-known attractions.

Start With Amber Fort (Amer Fort)

Start your morning with Amber Fort, one of Jaipur’s most impressive landmarks. Give yourself a couple of hours to explore the courtyards, gateways and palace interiors, and take some time to enjoy the views of the surrounding Aravalli hills.

Starting early is a good idea, especially if you want to explore the fort comfortably.

Head Into the Pink City

Once you’re back in the city, spend your afternoon around City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.

The three are close enough to combine into one outing. But don’t just visit the monuments and leave.

Walk through the streets around them. Browse the shops. Stop for a snack. Look at the old buildings and colorful doors.

Hawa Mahal is especially fun to explore when you wander the surrounding streets rather than treat it as a quick photo stop.

Leave Time for Shopping

Friday evening is also a good time to explore one of Jaipur’s markets.

Depending on what you’re looking for, you can check out:

  • Johari Bazaar for Kundan, Meenakari, silver jewelry, gemstones and traditional designs.
  • Maniharon ka Rasta for colorful lac bangles.
  • Amber Road for blue pottery.
  • Bapu Bazaar for textiles, handicrafts and souvenirs.
  • Sanganer and Bagru for traditional block-printed fabrics.

You don’t need to visit every market. Pick one or two based on what you actually want to buy and take your time.

End the Day With Jaipur Food

After a full day of sightseeing and shopping, keep your evening relaxed. Find somewhere for dinner, grab some chai or dessert, and take one last walk through the city.

Tomorrow, it’s WordCamp time.

Saturday, October 3: Contributor Day

Now it’s time to switch from tourist mode to WordCamp mode.

October 3 is Contributor Day at WordCamp Rajasthan 2026.

Contributor Day is your chance to get involved with the WordPress project and learn how you can contribute beyond simply using WordPress.

Experienced contributor or completely new to WordPress, this is a great opportunity to learn, connect with other contributors, and find an area where you can participate.

And you don’t have to be a developer to contribute. There are many different ways to get involved depending on your interests and skills.

Most importantly, come ready to learn, collaborate, and meet people from the WordPress community.

Contributor Day isn’t just about contributing code. It’s about contributing to WordPress and its community.

Sunday, October 4: It’s the Main Event

After Contributor Day, it’s time for the main WordCamp experience.

October 4 is the Main Event of WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, taking place at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur.

This is your day for sessions, ideas, conversations, and community. But WordCamp isn’t just about sitting through sessions.

It’s about the conversations between sessions, meeting people you’ve only known online, discovering new ideas, finding collaborators, and catching up with people from the WordPress community.

Developers, designers, freelancers, agency owners, content creators, contributors, and anyone curious about WordPress can find plenty of opportunities to participate.

And with WordCamp Rajasthan bringing together WordPress communities from across the state, you’ll get to meet people from different parts of Rajasthan — all in one place.

Come for the sessions. Stay for the conversations.

Monday, October 5: One More Day in Jaipur? Why Not?

If you don’t have to leave immediately after WordCamp, keep Monday for a slower Jaipur experience.
You could sleep in, have a relaxed breakfast, and explore somewhere you didn’t get to see earlier.

Depending on your interests, you could visit:

Or simply spend the morning shopping for those last-minute souvenirs and Jaipur snacks before heading home.

If you have an extra full day and don’t mind traveling outside Jaipur, you could even consider a road trip to Chand Baori, Sambhar Lake, Bhangarh, or Pushkar.

You don’t have to follow this itinerary exactly. Swap places around based on where you’re staying, what interests you, and how much time you have.

The idea is simple:

Don’t turn your Jaipur trip into a checklist.

Give yourself enough time to explore, eat, shop, meet people, and enjoy the city.

Make More Than a WordCamp Trip Out of It

You could arrive in Jaipur on Saturday morning, attend WordCamp, and head home on Sunday.
But you’d be missing half the fun.

Arrive on Thursday. Spend Friday discovering Jaipur. Spend Saturday contributing to WordPress. Spend Sunday at the Main Event. Stay until Monday if you can.

You’ll get two days of Jaipur, two days of WordPress, and plenty of memories in between.
So, if you’re coming to WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 from outside Jaipur, come a little early. Stay a little longer. Make a trip out of it.

See you in Jaipur on October 3 and 4!
