It brings together developers, designers, writers, translators, testers, educators, and WordPress enthusiasts from all kinds of backgrounds for a full day of learning, sharing, and hands-on collaboration with the global WordPress community. Join us at the Rajasthan International Center in Jaipur on October 3, 2026.

Contributor Day is for everyone! You can join in if you’re new to WordPress, have never contributed before, or have been contributing for years. Come learn, share your skills, meet fellow contributors, and help build the WordPress project that powers a huge part of the web today.
No prior contribution experience is required; just bring your laptop and your willingness to learn.

An introduction to the Core AI team’s work and the ways you can get involved.
Contributor Tables
Once you’ve picked a path, join one of our contributor tables for the day, each led by an experienced table lead:
Photos
The Photos team curates and contributes high-quality, freely licensed images to the WordPress Photo Directory, which anyone can use on their sites without attribution. If you enjoy photography, this table is a great way to contribute your eye for a good shot to the entire WordPress community.
Polyglots
The Polyglots team translates WordPress core, themes, and plugins into languages spoken worldwide, making the platform accessible to millions who don’t speak English. At this table, you can help translate strings into your local language or review existing translations for accuracy.
Community & Education
This team supports WordPress meetups and WordCamps and builds educational resources like Learn WordPress content. If you enjoy mentoring, organizing events, or creating learning materials, you can help grow the community itself.
Core AI
The Core AI team explores how to thoughtfully integrate artificial intelligence into WordPress, from tooling to workflows. Join this table to contribute ideas, testing, or development work as WordPress explores how AI can be responsibly brought to the platform.
Core
The Core team builds and maintains WordPress itself, the software that runs the sites. Contributors here work on patches, bug fixes, and new features, making it a great table for developers who want to write code that ships to millions of users.
Test
The Test team helps catch bugs before they reach the public by testing new WordPress releases, features, and beta versions. No coding experience is required here, just a willingness to click around, follow test scripts, and report what you find.
Support
The Support team helps WordPress users solve problems through the support forums, guiding people through troubleshooting and best practices. This table is ideal if you enjoy helping others and have some hands-on WordPress experience to share.
Patterns
The Patterns team builds and refines the block patterns available in the WordPress Pattern Directory, which users can drop into their sites to speed up design. Join this table if you have an eye for layout and design and want to contribute reusable content blocks.
Table leads will be on hand throughout the day to help first-timers get started and to guide ongoing contributors through more advanced tasks.
What to Bring
A fully charged laptop and charger, a WordPress.org account (create one in advance if you can), and plenty of curiosity. A laptop is strongly recommended since most tables involve online tools and collaborative platforms.
The Spirit of Open Source
Contributor Day also aligns with the Five for the Future initiative, a community program that encourages individuals and organizations to dedicate time to WordPress. Companies that support staff participation help sustain the software they rely on and grow internal skills.
