Frequently asked

Common questions

No. Per WordPress Foundation guidelines, speaker selection is fully independent of sponsorship. All talks are chosen by the program committee through an open call for speakers. This protects the integrity of the event for attendees and is non-negotiable.

Sponsors whose WordPress products and services are not fully GPL-compatible cannot sponsor WordCamps, in line with WordPress Foundation policy. If you are unsure whether your company qualifies, write to us, and we can talk it through.

All sponsorship payments are processed directly by the WordPress Foundation, not by individual organizers. Once your tier is confirmed, you will receive an invoice and payment instructions from WordCamp Central.

Tiers and add-ons are filled on a first-come basis. To be included on printed materials, we recommend confirming at least two weeks before the event. Exclusive single-slot add-ons typically close earliest.

The published tiers are designed to be fair and consistent for all sponsors, so we keep them standard. The add-on slots exist to let you stand out further. If you have a specific idea, write to us and we will see what is possible within community guidelines.
