Call for Organizers: Help Us Bring WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 to Life

Padharo mhare WordCamp! 🎉

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 is on its way, and now it’s time to bring together the people who will help make it truly special.

A WordCamp is never built by one person. It comes to life when community members step forward, join hands, share responsibilities, and put their time and heart into creating something memorable for everyone.

That is exactly why we are opening the Call for Organizers.

If you care about community, enjoy working with people, and would love to play a role in shaping WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, we would love to hear from you.

Why join the organizing team?

Organizing a WordCamp is not just about planning an event.

It is about creating experiences.
It is about welcoming people.
It is about building connections.
It is about giving back to the WordPress community in a meaningful way.

And honestly, it is also about a lot of teamwork, coordination, problem-solving, and those moments where everyone says, “haan, ho jayega!” and somehow makes it happen.

Whether you are an experienced organizer or someone applying for the first time, this is your chance to contribute, learn, collaborate, and be part of something exciting.

This is a volunteer role, but it comes with real commitment

Joining the organizing team means you are not just filling a spot on a list.

You are raising your hand and saying:
“Yes, I am ready to dedicate some time, energy, and responsibility to help organize an amazing WordCamp.”

This is a volunteer role, but it is also a commitment to the community.

We are looking for people who are willing to stay involved, communicate regularly, support one another, and take ownership of the responsibilities they accept.

What do we expect from organizers?

We are looking for people who can bring enthusiasm, responsibility, and teamwork to the table.

As an organizer, you should be ready to:

  • contribute consistently over the coming months
  • attend organizer meetings and stay active in discussions
  • communicate clearly and respond on time
  • take ownership of your responsibilities
  • collaborate with fellow organizers across teams
  • help create a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone involved

A WordCamp does not come together with “dekhenge” energy.
It needs “chalo, milke karte hain” energy.

Time commitment

The exact time commitment will vary from team to team and may increase as we get closer to the event.

In general, organizers should be prepared to contribute a few hours each week during the planning phase. Some teams may need more attention during important periods such as announcements, website updates, sponsor outreach, program planning, logistics, and final event week coordination.

You do not need to be available all day, every day. But you should be able to make a genuine commitment and stay engaged through the journey.

Tentative organizer teams

Here is the current list of teams applicants can choose from in the form.

These are tentative teams, and the final team structure may evolve based on planning needs, applicant skill sets, and team size. In some cases, some organizers may also take on dual responsibilities.

Attendee Experience Team

Help make sure attendees have a smooth, welcoming, and memorable experience before and during the event.

Audio/Video Team

Support planning and coordination related to stage audio, video, recordings, and event production needs.

Content & Social Media Team

Help shape the event’s voice through blog posts, announcements, website content, and social media updates.

Contributors Day Team

Support the planning and coordination of Contributors Day and help create a meaningful contributor experience.

Design Team

Work on visual assets for the event, including social graphics, banners, print materials, and other creative needs.

Program Team

Help with speaker and session-related planning, schedule coordination, and shaping the content experience of the event.

Sponsors Team

Support sponsor outreach, communication, coordination, and sponsor experience.

Technology Team

Help manage the website, forms, tools, and other technical systems needed for the event.

Volunteer Team

Support volunteer planning, communication, onboarding, and coordination for the event days.

A note on team allocation

You are welcome to share your team preferences in the form, but the final team allocation will depend on the event’s needs, your skills and experience, and overall team balance.

So yes, you may apply for one thing and end up being the hero somewhere else, too.

Who should apply?

You should apply if you:

  • care about community
  • are willing to contribute your time and effort
  • enjoy collaboration and teamwork
  • can communicate reliably
  • want to learn and grow through the organizing journey
  • want to help create something meaningful for the WordPress ecosystem in Rajasthan

You do not need to have all the answers already.
You just need the intent to contribute sincerely and work together.

Ready to join the journey?

WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 will be shaped by the people who step forward today.

So if you are excited to contribute, collaborate, and help us create something the community will be proud of, we invite you to apply.

Let’s build this together — with energy, teamwork, and a little Rajasthan spirit.

NOTE: Applications will remain open until 10th April 2026. We plan to complete the organizer selection process by 20th April 2026.
